This quick Rwanda gorilla safari starts and ends in Kigali, Rwanda’s Capital. Your Driver guide will pick you from your hotel in Kigali at around 4:30 am. You will embark on a transfer to Volcanoes National Park which is about 116 Km from Kigali, and about 2 hours and 20 minute drive. Make sure to have your packed breakfast or if possible have your breakfast before pick up time. Your driver guide will give you all the details of your tour during your transfer and also tips to have a successful trek. You will arrive at Volcanoes National Park headquarters(Visitors Center) where you will join other trekkers. At the headquarters, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts during the trek.

You will be divided into groups of about 8 members and allocated to various gorilla families. At this time if you have your preferred gorilla family, we recommend that you inform your guide so that he/she can negotiate with the rangers before the allocation is done.

You will then head in the forest to search for the gorillas and depending on the group location, the trek varies in duration.
