Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast at your hotel, your driver’s guide will pick you up at around 7 am and start your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. He/she will brief you about your 3 days Murchison falls Uganda safari, you will be given all the details of where to stay, times for the activities, among other things. The journey from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park is about 6 hours. During your transfer, you will enjoy scenic views of the pearl, you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes and lush greenery on the way. This journey is long and exciting.

We recommend you to be free with your guide, feel free to ask the anything in case of any sighting that needs explanation. You will go through Luwero a popular town on the way, you will continue Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda with Rhinos. You will find both black and white Rhinos. You will track the rhinos at Ziwa and later continue with your journey to Murchison Falls National Park.

Your next stop on this journey will be Masindi for lunch. After Lunch proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. You will head straight to the to of the falls for a guided hiking safari. While on top of the Falls, you will witness the world’s strongest water falls as water forces itself into a narrow gorge of about 7 meters wide before plunging about 45 meters down. On your way to the top of the falls, you will see various animals such as monkeys, baboons, warthogs, birds, and many more. Later your guide will drive you to your lodge to check in and have your dinner and overnight

Day 2 of the 3 Days Murchison Falls Uganda Safari: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

On this second day of your 3 days safari to Murchison Falls, you will wake up very early in the morning and head out for a wildlife game drive. The game drives are conducted early in the morning since this is the best time to spot animals in the park. We recommend that you take a cup of tea/coffee as early as possible just to keep you going.

During your game drive, you will be able to sight as many animals as possible. You will come across Lions, Elephants Buffalos, Giraffes, antelopes, waterbucks, warthogs, jackals, and birds of many species and many more.

After the game drive, like at around 11:30 am, your driver guide will drive you back to the lodge, to relax/freshen up before having lunch. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise takes about 2-3 hours – you will be able to see various animals including crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and buffalos along the banks of the river Nile.

You will also be able to see different bird species, such as the bee-eaters, colored kingfisher, shoe-billed stork, and many more. The boat cruise will take you up to the bottom of the Murchison Falls.

Day 3 of the 3 Days Murchison Falls Uganda Safari: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, you will check out. Your driver guide will be readily waiting to take you to another game drive before you embark on your transfer back to Kampala.

You will leave the Park and start your journey back to Kampala. You will have a stop in Masindi for lunch, and continue with the journey reaching Kampala in the evening. Your driver will ensure drop off at your hotel or any other preferred place of drop off.
